The Woodworking Photo Album
New prospects for your woodworking will usually want some evidence of your skills before contracting you for work. References are great but a good set of project photos will impress most prospects. An album of project photos to show off your work is a great selling tool. Until you begin to get referrals from satisfied customers, your project photo album is the only thing you have to show potential customers the quality of your work. Taking good clear photos of each project you complete for a customer or for your own home will help you get many customers. Digital or 35mm camera? For years I took my photos with a 35mm camera and had them developed by a lab. Then I started using a digital camera because with a computer and a good color printer I could take the pictures and print them myself. I could also use them in emails for those customers that could be reached by email. With the popularity of the internet today, email can play an important role in a woodworking business. So your computer skills can help you to sell your skills. The pictures of your projects should be clear and show your projects in the best possible light. Whatever camera you use, I have a short ebook that will help you get the best possible pictures even with an inexpensive camera. Check out the information below and download your free copy of this new ebook. Better Pictures With Inexpensive Cameras Many years ago, in what seems like another lifetime, I worked as a professional photographer. Over the years I have continued to take pictures, lately with a digital camera. I often notice the poor quality of many snapshots. Most of these snapshots are taken with inexpensive cameras that can seldom produce magazine quality photos. However, the quality of snapshots can be improved significantly, even with inexpensive cameras, with just a little basic knowledge and a few simple techniques. The Free Camera Guide: I have written a brief guide for users of inexpensive cameras and it’s yours free.
